III. Information on Nomination & Election Procedures:

   Nomination Procedure:
The nomination period will be open from the Oct. 2009 Monthly Chapter Meeting through midnight Nov. 1, 2009. ONLY current Greater Nashville Chapter members are eligible to be nominated. (view current members). You may submit more than one Nomination Form during this period as you may think of someone else that you would like to nominate. Remember - if you would like to be a chapter officer, you can nominate yourself. Sherry L. Dwyer, CPP and current President cannot be nominated for a position as she will assume the position of Immediate Past President. NOMINATION FORM The nominating committee will submit to the membership, by email, those that have accepted their nominations and the positions by Nov. 4, 2009. Each nominee that accepts their nomination will submit their answers to a set of questions that will assist each of you in knowing more about the nominee. The nominees name will appear on this page along with their answers. You will have up to the Nov. Chapter Meeting to read these responses. The acutal VOTE for officers will take place immediately following the Nov. Chapter Meeting. ALL will be done electronically and NO PAPER ballots.

   Election Procedure:
The election will begin immeiately following the Nov. Chapter Meeting. The Election Ballot will be available at 1:30pm on Nov. 19, 2009 and close at mid-night on Nov. 20, 2009. ALL voting will be done electronically and paper ballots will not be available. All submitted ballots will be sent to the Nomination Committee for counting. If you vote - you MUST enter your GNC ID# at the top of the voting ballot. If the GNC ID# is not a valid number the vote will not be submitted to the nomination committee for counting. (Your GNC ID# is the same number as your password that you use to login to members only). You will be allow ONE VOTE ONLY - all GNC ID#'s will be verified and checked to make sure the one vote rule applies. You will be notified of your new officers, by email and posted on the website and chapter newsletter, as soon as the committee counts the votes and reports the results to the current officer board. The positons of Dir of Public Relations and Chapter Coordinator have been combined into one position. Chad Brothers, CPP had to resign and Valerie Phillips is now overseeing both positions. The positions of Dir of Fundraising and the Dir of Community Service and now combined into one position of Dir of Fundraising and Community Service. These positions were combined due to the duties being similar and overlapping and also to make the officer board an even number in order to allow the President to have a tie breaking vote if necessary.
