Our Chapter will be hosting the Monthly Chapter Meetings at the Second Harvest Convention Center at 331 Great Circle Road (Metro Center). Our FIRST meeting there will be February 21, 2013. Music City Payroll Professionals: Greater Nashville Chapter of the APA (known as: gnc/apa)
Welcome to the Greater Nashville Chapter of the American Payroll Association website. Our Chapter serves Nashville, TN and surrounding counties, providing Payroll Professional networking and training opportunities for our members and chapter friends.We provide several training events each year. Our regular Monthly Chapter Meeting is held every 3rd Thursday of the month. We also host a 1/2 Day Seminar at least once a year, as well as our premier annual event, the TN Statewide Payroll Conference. Each of these events offers the opportunity for networking, training, and re-certification credits for CPP's & FPC's. Our Director of Education and the officer's board actively seek highly qualified instructors and topics for all our training events.
Certification Training
CPP & FPC certification is a valuable assest to those in the payroll profession. More and more employers seek employees with these certifications. National APA Certification Information
Spring - Mar 30 - Apr 27, 2013- registration will open 1/30/13
Fall - Sep 14 - Oct 12, 2013 - registration will open 7/9/13
Candidates testing February 1, 2013 through September 13, 2013 will be tested on federal tax laws and regulations in effect on January 1, 2012.
Candidates testing September 14, 2013 through September 14, 2014 will be tested on federal tax laws and regulations in effect on January 1, 2013.
(***NEW) The Chapter will be hosting a Study Group beginning May 14, 2013 and the times will be 6pm thru 8pm. The Study Group will meet at Tractor Supply / 200 Powell Place, Brentwood, TN 37027 in the Conference Room just inside the main door. Christy Britton will be the Study Group administrator. Communication & Assistance
Our website is a source of payroll related information. Our chapter has its own "Help Desk" to assist those with payroll questions or issues. We provide over 120 payroll related website links and Government updates We offer, free of charge, a page for Job Openings in the local area for our members. Communication is vital to any organization and we maintain several communication tools for our members and our friends. We have a Facebook page, a Monthly chapter Newsletter, and an active chapter Calendar. We encourage you to explore our website.
