Mark is a senior manager in EY’s National Indirect Tax Practice based out of Tampa Florida and is the employment tax markets leader for the state of Florida. He has over 12 years of public accounting experience working primarily in Workforce Services, with a focus on employment tax, Affordable Care Act (ACA) services, tax credits and economic incentives.
Mark has been responsible for identifying, implementing and managing a variety of employment tax and ACA services for EY clients across the country in all industries and sectors. Mark also has extensive experience managing full service employer credits and incentives engagements, ranging from statutory tax credits to global incentives solutions.
Mark received his undergraduate degree from The University of Delaware, earned his M.S. in Taxation from CW Post – Long Island University and is an Enrolled Agent.
Julie Gallina is a Tax Partner and market leader for the Southeast Region Workforce Advisory Services practice at EY. She has more than fifteen years’ experience in providing tax advisory services for corporate and flow-through entities. Julie’s experience includes analysis of state tax ramifications of corporate reorganizations as well as identification of various federal and state tax credits such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit. Julie has advised clients on all facets of state income and franchise taxes and indirect taxes such as sales and use tax, property tax, employment tax, VAT and federal excise taxes. Julie began her career in Nashville before leading the Milwaukee Indirect Tax practice, and for the past three years, Julie has also been assisting clients with the reporting and compliance considerations associated with the Affordable Care Act.
Julie is also the EY Indirect Tax Innovation Leader. In this role, Julie leads a team focused on identifying, developing and delivering new indirect tax services.
Julie’s experience covers multiple industries including manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, energy and financial services.
Julie received both a Masters in Accounting, with an emphasis in tax and a BS in Accountancy from Auburn University. She is licensed as a certified public accountant in the states of Tennessee and Wisconsin. Julie is a member of the AICPA and TSCPA and formerly chaired the state tax committee for the WICPA. Julie also serves as the Treasurer for Gigi’s Playhouse- Nashville, an achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome.
